Development as a dynamic system

One thing that I found interesting from the reading is that they said that how we grow and develop isn't just about ourselves, but also about the people and culture around us. It's like our development is shaped by the things we learn from others and the way we interact with our society. For example, let's say we learn a new language, like Spanish, it's not just about words and grammar. We also explore different customs and ways of thinking. By understanding the culture behind the language, we gain a deeper connection and appreciation for the people who speak it. It's like unlocking a whole new world of understanding through language.

So, here's a question: How can we make sure we consider different perspectives and cultures when thinking about development? How does our interaction with others and the customs of our community affect the way we grow?

Hi Cherry, thank you for your sharing! I agree with what you said that our environment shapes ourselves. I heard somewhere before that we are the average of the five people spend the most time with. I learned how important our environment plays a role in developing our personality.
